Restored E-Type First Drive

A 1969 Jaguar E-Type is brought back to life and preserved. Diligent restorations are always a triumph, and this video punctuates the efforts of respecting icons and their legacy. Despite the absence of a hood, turn signals, etc… it was decided to take the 1969 Jaguar E-type for a little spin. Eric Lindsey, from Manns Restoration, has been working really hard to get it to this point and he was anxious to get it out on the road. The engine fires up quickly and runs nice and cool. It does still need a bit of tuning, but it should be running perfectly in no time. This car is powered by a 4.2 DOHC straight six, with upgraded cams, triple SU carbs, and a nice set of headers. It has been treated to a Tremec five-speed as well, so this one is a bit of a hot rod. We’ll have much more on this car in the days ahead. Thanks for taking a look!
